Chawle Seafood Restaurant

GPS: 7.847490, 98.974949 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

The restaurant was recommended to us from a couple staying at our hotel, honestly, I think they forgot we are vegans.
It is nicely located at the village where you can see how locals live and it has a beautiful setting by the sea.
Even though they had basically only seafood at their menu, they were kind enough to cook Jay(vegan) food for us.

The Exotic Penises Cave!!! – Railay – Thailand

This marvelous paradise enchants from beaches to caves, wildlife, art, culture, peace, and beauty with no end!
From rare monkeys to crystal clear waters, Railay has it all.

Here all addresses and extra info from everything you saw on the video:

Rapala Rockwood Resort
Budget Hotel
Address: Railay East
GPS: 8.012681, 98.843586 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)
Website: https://www.rapalarockwood.com/en-us

We chose the fan room with cold shower private bathroom, it cost 999 bath per night.
They also had hot shower and a.c. rooms and counted with a communal swimming pool.
The hotel is located at Railay East and its a bit of a climb to get too but you’re probably going to do it once a day so it’s not a big deal.
It was the cheapest option in Railay at the time of our visit (high season).
For vegans, the food is pretty limited and bland, we recommend eating somewhere else.

Railay East Beach
GPS: 8.012324, 98.842978 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

Thailand Vlog: The Marvelous Railay Beach

Railay West Beach
GPS: 8.011477, 98.837651 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

Govinda’s At The Beach
Vegetarian Restaurant
Address: Located in the main street that crosses Railay West to East
GPS: 8.011451, 98.838370 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)
Open from 9 am to 4:30 pm, closed on Sundays. (hours may differ without reason)

The little stall is salvation for vegans staying in Railay. Unfortunately the quality is not to be compared with the main Govinda located in Ao Nang Beach, still, choosing wisely can bring you a fun meal. We recommend the spinach pie and hot dogs.
Their main problem is the opening schedule, that changes every single day.
Even with that in mind I would go back to the restaurant and recommend it, after all, they offer vegan food and we want to collaborate and celebrate that.

Phra Nang Beach Pathway
From Railay East
GPS: 8.007268, 98.841449 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

You’ll find the easy route just by the northern end of Railay East.
It is a pleasant and fast journey surrounded by nature and art.

Phra Nang Beach
GPS: 8.005127, 98.839539 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

The stunning location counts with several details that brought together make it just a real paradise.
A must visit while in the area, don’t even think about skipping it!
Spectacle monkeys, macaques, birds, and monitor lizards are all around.
From here there’s a viewpoint and lagoon trek, which is indicated only for experienced climbers.

Phra Nang Cave
GPS: 8.004198, 98.840376 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

There are a few different versions of the story behind the secrecy of the cave, all involving a female figure who’s a symbol of fertility.
One of them says that for centuries an Indian Princess Goddess spirit resides in Phra Nang Cave.
Hundred (maybe thousands) of Lingans are found in the cave as an offering, they are a symbol of fertility and virility. They come from Hindu culture and are incorporated with Buddhism, apart from the wooden penises, incense and flowers are also given as a sign of worship.
Together with the fertility blessings, local fisherman also asks for safety and abundance.
When trying to conceive I planned the trip and had the wish to be able to thanks the Universe for my gift on the cave. Luckily my dream came true.❤️

Koh Rang Nok
GPS: 8.004975, 98.836268 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

An islet located walking/swimming distance from Phra Nang Beach.
It has caves, bats, and beautiful stones; all with a relaxing vibe.

Mangrove Restaurant
Vegan-friendly
Address: Located in the main street that crosses Railay West to East
GPS: 8.012400, 98.840134 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)
Open from 8 am to 12 am.

Traditional Thai restaurant counting with vegan and veganizable options.

Thailand Vlog: The Marvelous Railay Beach

Time to finally visit this magical place that was on our bucket list for long.
Welcome to Railay everyone, let’s enjoy the splendid nature and all other touches of this paradise.

Here all addresses and extra info from everything you saw on the video:

GPS: 8.032272, 98.822833 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)
Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/jindaguesthouse/

Our pick was a budget double room with fan and shared bathroom, it cost 577 baht (high season).
The hotel is a quick walk from the beach and the lady who runs it is very nice and helpful.

Boats To Railay
GPS: 8.031130, 98.822239 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)
Open from 8 am to 6 pm.
Price: 200 baht round trip or 800 baht for a private longtail boat one way (good for unconventional times, destinations or large groups)

We advise you to buy one way, even though the return ticket is open, there are many different companies operating this route and they will not carry you unless it’s the right one.
It means if you have a schedule or a flight to catch it may become a problem, better to buy one way at a time.

The Famous Ao Nang Beach + From Koh Yao Noi To Ao Nang – Thailand

Our next stop is Ao Nang, a popular destination in Krabi.
The trip which brought us there was beautiful, both in the sea and land.
Now it’s time to see what the famous beach has to offer.

Here all addresses and extra info from everything you saw on the video:

Pasai Cottage
Address: Pasai Beach, Koh Yao Noi
GPS: 8.099997, 98.619263 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)
Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/Esanlongtin/

Our hotel was a budget beachfront bungalow with simple bamboo rooms and private cold shower.
Prices were around 600-700 baht per night at the time we stayed (high season).

Ta Khao Pier – ท่าเรือบ้านท่าเขา
Address: Koh Yao Noi
GPS: 8.134449, 98.627197 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

There slow boats to Thalane cost 150 baht per person and take around 45 min, they only depart from Ta Khao Pier. These boats leave Koh Yao Noi at 7, 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 11 and 16 hours.
There are speedboats that go directly to Ao Nang if that’s your next destination and you have no reasons to avoid speedboats.
We recommend you to seat on the right side in order to admire the beautiful views during the trip.

Thalane Pier – ท่าเรือประมง
Address: Ao Thalane
GPS: 8.142151, 98.747013 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

If you have time on your schedule and enjoy spending time in nature and peaceful surrounding, stopping by Ao Thalane might be a nice option.
This location is famous for its scenic sea kayaking, it has a truly relaxing atmosphere.

Jinda Guesthouse
Budget Hotel
Address: 247/6 Moo 2, Ao Nang

The long beach is not the most stunning in Thailand for sure, yet is located just in the perfect position to visit some of the dazzling ones.
In our case, coming from a really quite island, spending a day at a busy little city was a nice change of air before going back to relaxation mode.

One Of The Most Beautiful Places On Earth !!! – Snorkeling Trip To Koh Hong and Neighbor Islands – Thailand

When the boat went inside the mesmerizing laguna I was breathless, what a unique and unspoiled place!
Soon, the other boats were off and we were there at that paradise all alone, being overtaken by its beauty.
The new drone laws in Thailand didn’t allow us to give you a wider perspective of the place, yet maybe that’s not by chance. Perhaps, a little mystery will make it even better when your eyes seat on it for the first time.

Here all addresses and extra info from everything you saw on the video:

Pasai Cottage
Address: Pasai Beach, Koh Yao Noi
GPS: 8.099997, 98.619263 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

One Of The Most Beautiful Places On Earth !!! - Snorkeling Trip To Koh Hong and Neighbor Islands - Thailand

Our hotel was a budget beachfront bungalow with simple bamboo rooms and private cold shower.
Prices were around 600-700 baht per night at the time we stayed (high season).

Koh Hong – เกาะห้อง
Koh Hong Laguna GPS: 8.079169, 98.676429 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)
Koh Hong Beach GPS: 8.079212, 98.680528 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

Entering the laguna by boat is free, those wishing to visit the beachside will have to pay a 300 baht National Park conservation fee.
This is one of the top places to see, don’t skip it! If you’re staying in Phuket, Phi Phi or other nearby islands I would recommend you to arrange a day trip, you won’t regret it.

Koh Laolading – เกาะเหลาลาดิง
GPS: 8.104116, 98.682534 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

As the bay is quite small, depending at the time of the day you stop by, the island will be really crowded.
Still, it is definitely a stunning place but if you wish to avoid crowds plan to start your trip early or to make a different route than the majority of the boats.

Koh Pak Bia – เกาะผักเบี้ย
GPS: 8.117530, 98.675635 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

The two islets divided by a shallow body of water are a cool place to lay in the sand and do nothing, go for a swim or just explore the surroundings.

Monkey Island
With this one, I will have to say sorry but no GPS location, what happened is that the boatman informed us the name as “Monkey Island”, the way they advertise it to tourists. Unfortunately, that’s not the Thai name after translation and as there are many islands around this area, it’s really hard to point the right one out.
Don’t worry though, if you grab a snorkeling/diving trip, they will know what you’re talking about and will be able to bring you there.

Koh Nok – เกาะนอก
GPS: 8.080076, 98.627353 (copy and paste in map’s search bar for exact location)

Just another piece of heaven.

Open from 1:30 pm to 12 am, closed on Sundays.

Nice space counting with vegan ice-cream and vegan cheese-less pizza.

Address: Southern tip of Pasai Beach, Koh Yao Noi

Koh Yao Yai To Koh Yao Noi + Room Tour – Thailand

Time to say goodbye to Yao Yai island and the next destination is the nearby neighbor Koh Yao Noi.
This time with the worry in mind about how much would the boat shake during the short trip due to the baby on board, I tranquilize any mothers to be by assuring you it is a soft ride(the taxi until the pier shook more😜), of course that may change during rough weather, be aware of that.
The 10 min (or less) ride cost 50 baht per person. It can be boarded on Chonglad pier, north of the island, you’ll probably need a taxi to get there unless you are staying nearby or dropping your rented vehicle nearby. Boats depart frequently during the day, it is not needed to worry about a schedule.

Arriving in Koh Yao Noi started well by being presented with much lighter taxi fees than Yao Yai.
The view on our way to the hotel also pleased us and our first impression was of a more structured place than Yao Yai.
Our hotel pick was Pasai Cottage, a budget beachfront bungalow with simple bamboo rooms and private cold shower.
Prices were around 600-700 baht at the time we stayed (high season).

Now, it’s time to explore Yao Noi, stay tuned for the upcoming adventures!

Snorkeling Trip To The 3 Khai Islands! – Koh Yao Yai, Thailand

With the most amazing news in mind (click here if you don’t know what i’m talking about), we depart to our scheduled snorkeling trip to the 3 Khai Islands.
The Khai islands are located very near Koh Yao Yai, a long tail boat is enough for the trip. There are tours coming from other islands by speed boat but that is not necessary if you’re staying in Koh Yao Yai.
They are pretty white sand tinny islands counting with bars and limited food and snacks.

Snorkeling Trip To The 3 Khai Islands! - Koh Yao Yai, Thailand

Sunbath chairs placed in the shadow are rented for overpriced fees at all the 3 islands, depending on the day and time of your visit you’ll understand how hot it gets in the otherwise shadeless islands and may even agree to pay the price for the desired sun relieve.
The water is crystal clear for swimming yet not as clear for snorkeling, the visibility is compromised and there’s not much to see underwater apart from some small fish (this may change with time and season) and mostly hard coral.
It is a nice time out for those staying in Koh Yao Yai but i would not recommend the trip if you’re staying further away.
White sand and clear water, perfect for sunbathing and swimming at the shallow sandy bottom shore.
Price-wise, you’ll see many advertisements for this tour around the island, mostly offering a 4 hour trip for 1500 baht per person. We found a nicer deal in Glow Elixir Beach with the boatmen that stay by a tour sign by the beach. Unlimited time for 2000 baht per boat.
An important reminder is to bring water, they sell it for three times its price on the islands and it will be really needed. It was a hot day when we did our tour and sunblock and hydrating were essential.
If you are vegan, bringing your own meal from Yao Yai will be a must as they sell mostly seafood on the 3 islands and the grilled corn is made side-by-side with the lobster. Still, you can find drinks and some always welcomed fresh coconut water on the stalls.

Here all addresses and extra info from everything you saw on the video:

Loh Jark Beach
South West Of The Island

One of the top beaches to visit while on the island.
We chose to depart from this location to our snorkeling trip due finding a better deal with the boatmen from this beach.

Snorkeling Trip To The 3 Khai Islands! - Koh Yao Yai, Thailand

With good English and clear understanding of Jie(vegan food), they were able to cook us delicious vegan food even though it was not listed on the menu.
After our meal, our boatman approached the restaurant and we discovered it is owned by his family. Cool coincidence.

How To Get To Koh Yao Yai from Phuket + First Views of The Island – Thailand

Time to explore a new Thai island! There we go Koh Yao Yai!
Expect all you need to know about the island soon, starting today let’s see how to get there:

How To Get To Koh Yao Yai from Phuket + First Views of The Island - Thailand

How To Get From Phuket To Koh Yao Yai

There’s no airport in Koh Yao Yai, after getting nearby the island the only way to access it is by boat.
The closest point is Phuket (Click here to see how to get to Phuket), we’ll be explaining how to transfer from Phuket to Koh Yao Yai step-by-step.
As you saw on the video there are 2 piers which can be used for this route. One is called Bang Rong Pier located on the northeast of the island and the other one is called Chianwanich located at the southeast of the island.
Phuket is the largest island in Thailand so save about 1 hour to go from your hotel to either of these piers, the best is asking your hotel how long it will take because if you are staying out of the main beaches time may differ. There’s no public transportation to access the piers, scheduling a taxi will be needed.
Bang Rong Pier pier counts with speed boat and private longtail boats only. Chianwanich Pier has speed boats and car ferry for those who can’t/don’t want to ride a speed boat or wishes to bring a car/motorbike together. Speed boat rides take about 40 min, the car ferry and longtail boat take 1 hour.
Here the boat timetable:

Boats from Phuket To Koh Yao Yai

 Speed BoatCar FerryLongtail Boat
Chianwanich Pier
(arrive at Loh Jark Pier)
- 10:00, 17:00 (there are more boats in between this times without accurate schedule)
- 200 baht per person
- 08:30, 10:00, 14:00
(no service on Fridays)
- 140 baht per person, 400 baht with car
X
Bang Rong Pier
(arrive at Klong Hia Pier)
- 07:40, 08:40, 09:15, 09:40, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:15, 14:30, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 17:30
- 300 baht per person
X- private, schedule up to you during day time
- 2000 baht per boat

Another thing to be considered is if your hotel in Koh Yao Yai offers the transfer, contact them beforehand and remember to specify the departure pier.
Is also important to check the location of your hotel because the final stops of the boats depend from where they departed, for example, from Bang Rong Pier pier they stop in Klong Hia Pier(unless you hire a private long tail that will leave you at your hotel) and Chianwanich pier will leave you at Loh Jark Pier in Koh Yao Yai.
As these boats can’t be booked with travel agents or hotels in town, information is scarce and often inaccurate. The only way to buy the tickets is in person at the piers which are located quite far away from the main hotel areas. Yet, there’s always available space in the boats and/or extra boats departing, don’t worry about staying without tickets (unless you’re bringing a car, then calling the pier in advance is advisable, help from a Thai speaker will be needed, phone: (087) 896 0756 or (087) 2720132.

We were welcomed by a new shade of blue to our eyes on the island sky, the masterpiece was completed with a touch of swinging coconut trees.
Sand down, sun up, what a wonderful world!💙

Kamala Beach - Phuket - Thailand

Asia’s oldest operating airport uses terminal 2 for domestic flights and terminal 1 for international flights.

Kamala Beach – หาดกมลา
GPS: 7.956761,98.283019

On our first and second time in Phuket we stay around Kata and Karon area, this time we wanted to explore a new area.
We chose Kamala due to its fame of an area preferred by locals, we had a short yet sweet stay in the busy beach.
In order to better explore Phuket, we suggest renting a motorbike or car to visit neighbor beaches, the views in between them and the uniqueness they bring are a must.

How To Get To Phuket

We have a step-by-step explanation including diverse transportation on how to get to Phuket from our first time there.

This time we had a short stay in beautiful Phuket but there’s more sun, sand, and sea coming up soon! Stay tuned!
